Task 2: Analyse Adaptation Choices
As a class, watch another early episode of Round the Twist and read the corresponding story by Paul Jennings, or reflect on ‘Skeleton on the Dunny’ again.
Have students discuss why certain elements may have been adapted or changed for television. Consider the intended audience, constraints within the different mediums, and narrative structure. Invite students to suggest alternative approaches for the episode and to explain their reasoning to peers.
