Mission 2: Join the Joey’s Crew
Mission goal:
By the end of ‘Mission 2’ students will be able to:
-
analyse character traits and how people are represented in texts and images
-
create a personal profile using descriptive and expressive language
-
communicate their strengths, supported by relevant examples of their skills and experiences
You’ve been invited to join the Joeys! But they need to check out your profile to see if you will fit the crew!
Teachers: for this activity, download the below Mission 2 Character Profiles

Mission brief:
1. Read the Joeys’ character profiles. Choose something about them that you think is an asset to the team. It might be a unique skill or a personality trait.
2. Write your own profile for the crew. Include:
-
A code name (e.g. the problem solver, the brave one)
-
A special skill ( e.g. solving maths problems, untying difficult knots) and one time you might have used this skill successfully in the past
3. Have a look at the pictures of the Joey’s crew. What expressions are they making with their faces and body language?
4. On a blank piece of paper, draw a “mug shot” (head and shoulders) profile picture of yourself that matches your personality trait.
