Professional Learning Webinar for F–10 Educators
Behind the Screen: Media Consumers & Creators

In this professional learning webinar, the ACTF Education team will introduce high-quality, curriculum-aligned resources that take students behind-the-scenes of Australian children’s screen content. These free resources support educators to explore the craft of storytelling in screen media and to inspire students to create and share their own stories with confidence.
Designed for Foundation to Year 10 education, this session supports the integration of Media Arts and English (Australian Curriculum Version 9), including a focus on the new curriculum connection, media consumers and creators. Using real-world examples from the Australian screen industry, we explore key stages of screen production - from scriptwriting and storyboarding to sound design and visual effects - with practical tools that guide students to apply these processes themselves.
Join us to explore the stories that reflect your students’ lives and help them become the storytellers of the future.
Please note that this session is an adaptation of the ACTF conference presentation developed for the 2025 AATE/ALEA National Conference.
