Task 2: Exploring identity

In RUNT, Annie learns more about who she is and what she believes in. At first, she’s quiet and unsure, but as the story goes on, she starts to speak up, follow her heart, and stand up for what’s right. This is part of her identity - the kind of person she’s becoming.

Create an identity poster for Annie. Draw and write about the different parts of who she is. You might like to include:

  • Her personality - is she kind, smart, brave?

  • Her values - does she care about animals, stands up for others?

  • Her relationships - what family and friends are important to her?

After you have done this write a short paragraph explaining how Annie’s identity changes during the film. What helps her grow into a stronger version of herself?
